Installing Service Aeon

Follow those steps to install Service Aeon into your Salesforce org and enable effort tracking in your Lightning Experience service apps.

Step 1: Install the Service Aeon package from the AppExchange

Start the installation process by clicking Get It Now on Service Aeon's app page.

Log in with your Salesforce credentials if necessary, and choose between a production and a sandbox installation.

On the package installation page, we recommend choosing Install for Admins Only since users do not need any app permissions by default, and you can assign permissions later if needed.

After the package installation is completed, assign licenses to your users via the Aeon2 Admin app or from the Manage Licenses link next to the Aeon2 package under Installed Packages in Salesforce Setup (only required for production org installs).

Step 2: Add Service Aeon to your Salesforce apps

Service Aeon tracks user effort via an app utility item. You can add Service Aeon to standard navigation and console (recommended) lightning apps.

In Lightning Experience, go to Setup > App Manager, and edit the app you'd like to enable with Service Aeon.

Go to the Utility Items section and add a new Utility Item. Choose the Aeon2 custom managed component.

Important

After adding the component, make sure that Start automatically is selected.

Click Save to update your app.

Step 3: Add the Effort Timer and Effort Summary components to your Case record pages

In Lightning Experience go to Setup > Object Manager > Case > Lightning Record Pages, and edit the record page where you'd like to add the components. The scroll to the Custom - Managed components section and add the Aeon2 Effort Timer and Aeon2 Effort Summary components to your page. Service Aeon is now ready to track your service agents' effort.
